Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said tokenmaxxing, the practice of maximising AI token usage, is "addictive" but warned against using AI for tasks that "don't add value". "Don't use frontier models for non-frontier problems," he stated. Noting that Microsoft employees do "a lot" of tokenmaxxing, he added, "But you've to step back...to say, What is it that I'm trying to create?"
