Tola wins men's marathon with championship record at World Athletics C'ships

Ethiopia's Tamirat Tola won a gold medal in the men's marathon at World Athletics Championships with a championship record on Sunday. He won the race in two hours 05.36 minutes. Compatriot Mosinet Geremew won a second successive silver, clocking 2:06.44, while Belgium's Somalia-born Bashir Abdi won bronze with a timing of 2:06.48.
