After becoming the oldest man to win a Grand Slam at 43, Indian tennis player Rohan Bopanna, during his victory speech after Australian Open 2024 win, revealed he contemplated retirement a couple of years ago. Bopanna stated he told his wife he was going to retire as he wasn't winning matches. "Perseverance inside me just kept me going," he added.
