Ton of space junk now falling to Earth each week, says expert as metal ring lands in Kenya
A rising number of satellites has led to more space debris falling to Earth, with Polish Space Agency's Mariusz Slonina claiming that around 1 metric ton of it falls each week. This comes after a spacecraft's large metal ring crashed into a Kenyan farmland earlier this year. Several experts have also warned of rising risk of injury/fatality from space debris.
