Supreme Court said it took suo motu cognisance of Twisha Sharma's case as a "narrative was...created that a fair investigation was denied on account of the involvement of the judiciary". It noted that Twisha's family alleged "undue influence" in police investigation, as Twisha's husband is a lawyer and her mother-in-law a retired district judge. CBI will take over the probe.
