Tool to curb freedom of speech: BRS leader on T'gana Hate Speech Bill

BRS leader Ravula Sridhar Reddy on Tuesday criticised Telangana's proposed Hate Speech & Hate Crimes (Prevention) Bill, 2026. He said, "It is the responsibility of any elected government…to protect fundamental rights and freedom of speech." He added the Bill, brought in the name of protecting vulnerable groups, "looks totally different" and raised concerns over its intent.
