Top engineer who quit Apple over return-to-office policy joins Google: Report
Ian Goodfellow, who quit as Apple's Director of Machine Learning over the company's return-to-office policy, is joining Google parent Alphabet's AI unit DeepMind, Bloomberg reported. He worked in different capacities for Google since 2013, before joining Apple in 2019. He's best known for inventing Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), a class of machine learning frameworks.
