Top Malaysian court orders former PM Najib to begin final appeal

Malaysia's top court has ordered former PM Najib Razak to begin his final appeal in two days in the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) state fund scandal. The court rejected Najib's request for dismissal of his conviction and 12-year sentence over alleged judicial bias. Investigators have alleged that $4.5 billion was stolen from the 1MDB fund and laundered by Najib's associates.
