Total solar eclipse to take place on April 8, expected to be the longest in 50 years

A total solar eclipse will take place on April 8. A total solar eclipse occurs when Moon passes between Earth and Sun forming a perfect alignment. It's expected to last for 7.5 minutes, the longest total solar eclipse in the last half century. It will make landfall on Mexico's Pacific coast, cross US and exit North America via Newfoundland, Canada.
