Totally baseless: Bhutan denies reports of stopping water to Assam

After report claimed that Bhutan was stopping supply of channel water to Assam, Bhutan's foreign ministry dismissed the reports as "totally baseless". "There's no reason why the flow of water should be stopped," the government said. "It's a deliberate attempt by vested interests to spread misinformation and cause misunderstanding between the friendly people of Bhutan and Assam," it added.
