Tourists' viral 'Anxiety' dance at Japan's shrine sparks fury

A group of tourists faced criticism after a video showed them performing viral 'Anxiety' TikTok dance beneath torii gates of Kyoto's Fushimi Inari Taisha. Netizens criticised their behaviour at the sacred Shinto site. American guitarist Marty Friedman also called it disrespectful. Friedman, who has lived in Japan since 2003, warned that such conduct could affect attitudes towards foreign visitors.
