Officials in Indonesia's Bali have seized hundreds of kilograms of raw dog meat after Australian tourists were tricked into eating dog meat skewers. There is ban on the trade of dog meat in Bali, with severe penalties on offenders, including a three-month jail term. "Dog meat is not food and can also potentially cause disease," said a Bali official.
