Toxic metals including lead, arsenic found in tampons: Study
Tampons used by millions of people each year can contain concerning levels of toxic metals such as lead, arsenic and cadmium, a world-first study has warned. Researchers tested 30 tampons from 14 brands and 18 product lines and found "measurable concentrations of all 16 metals assessed". The metals found in the tampons include arsenic, copper, mercury, nickel, lead, zinc, etc.
