Toyota's VC fund invests in AI startups that refine factory processes
Japanese automaker Toyota Motor's first venture capital fund is investing in startups that help it refine everyday factory processes through sharper supply-chain management and robotics, the fund's head Jim Adler said. The Toyota AI Ventures fund has so far invested in 36 early-stage startups, including factory video analytics company Drishti and air mobility firm Joby Aviation.
