Traffic congestion caused by rain and roadworks on Pune highways

Heavy rains and roadworks caused severe traffic congestion on Pune's roads and highways. Commuters faced slow-moving traffic at Khed Shivapur and Urse toll plazas, especially on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway. Superintendent of Police Vikrant Deshmukh stated that weekend traffic and ongoing road work contributed to the snarls.
