Traffic jam on Mumbai-Pune expressway ends after 33 hours

The traffic jam on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway ended after 33 hours on Thursday, leading to the resumption of normal vehicular movement. Hundreds of vehicles were stuck across a 20–22 km stretch on the expressway after a gas tanker overturned around 5 pm on Tuesday and began leaking highly flammable propylene gas. The tanker has been removed using cranes.
