TRAI bars apps like Truecaller from flagging some calls as spam

TRAI has tightened rules for call management apps such as Truecaller, saying they cannot let users mark calls as spam or junk unless the information is shared with telecom operators. The apps will not be allowed to block or label calls from 1600 and 140 number series as spam. This could limit users' ability to flag these calls as spam.
