TRAI mandates telecom firms to offer more voice, SMS-only plans

TRAI has mandated that telecom operators offer more special tariff vouchers for voice-and-SMS-only users, including plans valid for 30 days or less. Operators must also provide a monthly-renewable option and at least one longer-validity plan. The regulator says the move will give consumers who do not need mobile data more flexible and affordable recharge choices.
