TRAI's spam rule is helping spammers: Truecaller CEO

Truecaller CEO Rishit Jhunjhunwala said TRAI's rule restricting spam labels on designated commercial numbers has ended up helping spammers instead of consumers. "Consumers are suffering because they're getting spammed, and spammers are happy that it's whitelisted on Truecaller," he told Financial Express. This comes as TRAI seeks powers to act against apps that flag official numbers as spam.
