Tree, household items used to make eco-friendly Lord Ganesh idol in Odisha

Bhubaneswar-based NGO Bakul Foundation is celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi with an eco-friendly idol, painting Lord Ganesha's image on a tree and using household materials for the crown, tusks and other elements. Volunteers said visarjan happens at the same spot during the rainy season, preventing water pollution. The foundation has been celebrating the festival this way for the last seven years.
