Tree falls on ex-Dy Mayor's son in Maha, he dies after 2 days in hospital

Rahul Ashok Patil, a 35-year-old son of ex-deputy mayor of the Mira-Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC), died after a coconut tree fell on him during heavy rain in Maharashtra's Thane, officials said. The incident reportedly occurred while he was riding his motorcycle when tree uprooted and collapsed on vehicle. Patil succumbed to his injuries after two days in hospital, officials added.
