Trial runs for India's first hydrogen fuel cell car successful

The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and Pune-based tech firm KPIT Technologies successfully ran trials of India’s first Hydrogen Fuel Cell (HFC) prototype car. The car ran on an indigenously developed fuel cell stack at the CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory (NCL) Pune. CSIR-NCL Director Ashwini Kumar Nangia said the technology will help reduce the diesel-petrol import bill.
