'Triple mutant' variant of coronavirus found in India: Report

As per a report in The Indian Express, the Indian Health Ministry was last week briefed about India's double mutant coronavirus variant developing another mutation and becoming a 'triple mutant'. The third version of the strain has the mutation outside the spike protein and has been observed in 17 samples, from Maharashtra, Delhi and West Bengal, the report added.
