Tripura CM Manik Saha wins Assembly bypoll; Cong wins Agartala

Newly-appointed Tripura CM Manik Saha won the by-election to the Town Bardowali Assembly seat by a margin of more than 6,000 votes over the rival Congress candidate. The BJP won the Jubarajnagar seat and stood well ahead in Surma at the end of eighth round of counting. Congress' Sudip Roy Barman defeated BJP's Ashok Sinha in Agartala.
