Trivandrum tops new list of Smart Cities, Naya Raipur second

The government on Friday released a new list of 30 cities to be developed as smart cities under the Smart City Mission. Kerala's Trivandrum has topped the list, while Chhattisgarh's Naya Raipur and Gujarat's Rajkot bagged the third spot. Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu said that 45 cities competed for 40 slots, but only 30 could qualify.
