Troops who escaped to Tajikistan being brought back to fight: Afghan govt

Afghan security personnel who crossed into Tajikistan to escape from Taliban fighters are being brought back to rejoin the fight, Afghanistan's NSA Hamdullah Mohib said. Around 2,300 personnel who abandoned their positions across the country had returned to service. In response to developments in Afghanistan, Tajikistan ordered the mobilisation of 20,000 military reservists to secure the border.
