Truck that crashed into plane in US was responding to emergency in another plane

A fire truck that collided with an Air Canada flight at New York's LaGuardia Airport was trying to cross runway to get to another flight that had declared emergency on ground. The pilot and co-pilot of the Air Canada flight died in the crash. A United Airlines flight had called for fire trucks due to a "weird odour" inside it.
