Trump, who tried cutting funding of Roman telescope, congratulates NASA on its launch

US President Donald Trump, who joined NASA's press conference via phone call to congratulate them after the historic launch of the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, once proposed cancelling the funding of the same telescope. The US Congress had rejected those proposals and continued funding it. The $4-billion (₹38,150-crore) observatory will study dark energy, dark matter and exoplanets.
