Trump administration moves to end loan relief program

The Trump administration proposed a settlement with Missouri to end the Biden-era SAVE student-loan repayment plan, calling it unlawful and too expensive. The Education Department said the program would have added over $342 billion in taxpayer costs and accused the prior administration of misleading borrowers. If approved by the court, borrowers will be guided to select a new, repayment plan.
