Trump calls Venezuelan oil 'very good, great', years after calling it 'garbage tar'

A video has surfaced showing US President Donald Trump calling Venezuelan oil "great" during a meeting with some of the world's largest oil companies' executives. Trump was attempting to persuade the companies to invest in Venezuela, saying, "Venezuelan oil...very good oil, great oil. It's fantastic...for asphalt roads." In 2023, Trump had called Venezuelan oil "garbage", saying, "It's like tar."
