Trump cancels live broadcast of Fort Hood shooter's execution

US President Trump announced Nidal Hasan's firing-squad execution on December 3 will not be livestreamed, reversing a proposal by Secretary of War Pete Hegseth. Trump cited concerns from "good and well-meaning people" who opposed watching. Hasan was sentenced to death in 2013 for killing 13 people at Fort Hood, Texas, in 2009.
