Trump considers suspending federal gas tax: Report

US President Trump is considering pausing the federal gas tax — 18.4 cents/gallon for gas and 24.4 cents for diesel — to ease inflation, NewsBytes reported. Any change requires Congress, currently in recess. He has also extended tax-free "red dye" diesel use through December to provide Americans short-term relief at the pump.
