Trump declares February 9 as 'Gulf of America Day'

US President Donald Trump on Sunday signed a proclamation declaring February 9 as 'Gulf of America Day'. It was signed when Air Force One flew Trump over the gulf, that he had ordered to be renamed from Gulf of Mexico. While the name 'Gulf of America' will be applied to federal references, other countries wouldn't be required to recognise it.
