US President Donald Trump's administration filed an emergency motion to resume construction on the ballroom project citing national security risk. The motion said the order to halt construction is "threatening grave national-security harms to the White House, President and his family, and President's staff". Trump had said there would be a drone-proof and bulletproof complex under the ballroom.
