Trump fires 1,600 USAID employees, others sent on indefinite leave

US President Donald Trump's administration has fired 1,600 USAID employees and sent the others on indefinite paid leave. Those employees who have been fired will be let go from federal service from April 24, an official email read, as per Reuters. Trump had earlier planned to reduce the strength of the agency from 10,000 to 294, as per reports.
