Trump govt asks OpenAI to stagger GPT 5.6 release: Report

US President Donald Trump's administration asked OpenAI to stagger the release of its latest model, GPT 5.6, over security concerns, Reuters reported. CEO Sam Altman said the model would initially be made available to a limited group of partners, with government approving access on a customer-by-customer basis during preview period. Earlier, US imposed restrictions on Anthropic's advanced models.
