Trump halts TikTok ban, gives app 75-day extra time to find buyer

US President Donald Trump temporarily paused the ban on TikTok in the US, giving the company and its Chinese parent, ByteDance, an additional 75 days to finalise a deal. The reprieve was granted through an executive order signed by Trump shortly after he took office. "I guess I have a warm spot for TikTok," Trump said while signing the order.
