Trump names ally Pulte as Acting US intel chief, replacing Gabbard
US President Donald Trump on Tuesday appointed his ally William Pulte as Acting Director of National Intelligence, replacing Tulsi Gabbard, who announced her exit last month. "[Pulte] has deep experience managing the most sensitive matters in America," he wrote. He will continue to serve as Director of FHFA and Chairman of federal housing lenders Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
