Trump's new envoy says he intends to make Greenland 'part of US'

US President Donald Trump announced appointment of Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry as special envoy to Greenland, saying, "Jeff understands how essential Greenland is to our National Security." Responding to announcement, Landry said, "It's an honour to serve...in this volunteer position to make Greenland a part of US.” He added that role would not affect his position as Louisiana Governor.
