Trump says '1917 pandemic probably ended WWII' that began in 1939

During a press briefing, US President Donald Trump said that the "1917 pandemic probably ended the Second World War". "It certainly was a terrible thing where they lost anywhere from 50 to 100 million people...All soldiers were sick. That was a terrible situation," Trump said. The Spanish flu pandemic actually occurred in 1918, while World War II began in 1939.
