Trump shares message of 'respect' for Iran for halting 800 executions

US President Donald Trump extended thanks to Iran, saying Tehran halted over 800 scheduled executions of political prisoners amid anti-government protests. "I greatly respect the fact that all scheduled hangings, which were to take place yesterday...have been cancelled by...leadership of Iran. Thank you!" he wrote. US had warned Iran of "grave consequences" if killing of protestors continued.
