Trump signs 'Buy American, Hire American' executive order

US President Donald Trump on Tuesday signed an executive order directing federal agencies to propose changes to the H-1B visa process to prevent its misuse. The existing visa programme undercuts American workers by bringing in cheaper foreign labour, officials said. The order also seeks changes in government procurement practices to increase the purchase of American products in federal contracts.
