Trump slaps 10% tariff on 8 countries over Greenland, warns of 25% tariff by June

US President Donald Trump said 10% tariffs will come into effect on February 1 on Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, UK, Netherlands and Finland for opposing US' takeover of Greenland. Trump said tariffs would rise to 25% from June 1. He added they'd remain in force until a deal is reached for US to undertake the "complete purchase" of Greenland.
