Trump threatens to stop trading with Europe over EU's proposal to Canada

US President Donald Trump called EU's proposal to make Canada an associate member "laughable" and threatened Europe with tariffs if they do that. "If I think it's at all a hostile act...I'll put very serious tariffs or stop trading with Europe on many things...If it's a good intention, that's fine," said Trump, adding that Canada is a "terrible trade partner".
