Trump to lift 10% tariff on Irish whiskey, says 'Everyone has been bugging me'
US President Donald Trump said he would remove the 10% tariff on Irish whiskey, which is currently covered under US duties on EU wine and spirit exports. Trump said, "Everybody has been bugging me, saying, 'Would you do me a favour?" "On behalf of the US, I am going to take the tariffs off Irish whiskey," he added.
