Trump wins SC battle over $400 million White House ballroom

The US Supreme Court on Monday handed President Donald Trump a win by allowing him to proceed with construction of his proposed $400-million White House ballroom. In a 5-4 decision, the court overturned a lower-court order that had paused most construction. The National Trust for Historic Preservation had challenged the project, saying Trump lacked unilateral authority to proceed.
