Trump's permanent suspension from Twitter is problematic: Merkel

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has questioned the decision of social media platforms, including Twitter and Facebook, to shut down outgoing US President Donald Trump's accounts. "[She] sees the complete closing down of the account of an elected president as problematic," Merkel's chief spokesperson said. She believes legislature should set rules governing the platforms, the spokesperson added.
