'TS' to be replaced with 'TG' as Telangana's abbreviation

The Telangana government on Sunday decided to change the state's abbreviation to 'TG' from 'TS' in the gazette of the Union government. Vehicle registration numbers in the state will have to switch to the 'TG' prefix. The 'TS' prefix was decided by the TRS (now BRS) government in the state after its formation in 2014.
