TSMC starts mass production of its most advanced chips in Taiwan

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), the world's largest contract chipmaker, on Thursday started mass production of its most advanced chips in southern Taiwan. Demand for the 3-nanometre chips is "very strong", TSMC Chairman Mark Liu said. The 3-nanometre technology will create end products with a market value of $1.5 trillion within five years, Liu stated.
