Tukaram Mundhe urges people not to buy loose edible oil, explains why

Maharashtra FDA Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe urged people to stop buying loose edible oil as it's difficult to trace the manufacturer in case of food poisoning. He added that improper handling and packaging of oil and repeated reuse can contribute to heart diseases, cancer and affect children's cognitive development. The FDA is planning stricter scrutiny of the edible-oil supply chain.
